It is a big knife and almost seven ounces. Probably more than a lot of people want to carry.

I have several knives with a four inch blade but they are all about two ounces lighter. Hell, the discontinued Cold Steel Steve Austin weighs about half as much as this one. Different knives for sure, but still a four inch blade with the Tri-Ad lock. Spyderco's large Military, Resilience, Chieftan, etc. are all at least two ounces lighter and easier to carry while still being beefy blades.

Some also worry about receiving fake knives from Amazon. Even when sold by Amazon, someone may have bought an original from them and returned a fake which then gets returned the bin to be sold again.

this is a great deal. I'm surprised this isn't getting more interest.

This deal came up briefly last week as well. Its no doubt a great deal given its typical price, and it's a performer, it's been well tested by many, but for most it's just a bit to heavy for EDC so people tend to assign it more of an outdoor backup knife.

I'm curious, what makes a knife cost this much? The original price seems insane. Is it unbreakable and unrustable or something?

The steel use in that blade is top-notch, specialized, expensive steel, custom-made for this purpose. it is quite expensive to start with, and then add the rest of the process for a nice knife and you get some pretty crazy prices. You could sell it for less than half this price with a more common knife steel and all the same other components.

I use the AD-15 as an everyday carry. It's a great knife.

Well knives are used to cut things. Like rope. Or maybe wood. Or even used for skinning in a pinch.

The steel makes these jobs easier. It is more resistant to dulling. It's thickness lends itself to tougher tasks in the outdoors.

Everyone should carry at least one knife. They are a most useful tool.

Wouldn't the fake be sold as "used-like new"? They can't sell a return as new product, can they?
