This specific tape measure is crap went through two. It's garbage if using for work

these are disposable like pencils to me for construction work. For home it's fine

The item itself is garbage as people have already commented...there are many better tapes than these for a decent price. Go to the store and check the tapes, you'll clearly notice differences...

had to go back and check, yup these are the same ones that were part of the "4 for 60$" deal a while back. where they were cheaper and i still almost returned them, but convinced myself 7.50$ was fine for a few more garbage tapes to use outdoors

agree with others, these tape measures are hot garbage. for being "compact" they're bulk as all hell, lots of unnecessary plastic and over-mold. one thing that nobody has mentioned and annoys the hell out of me, they don't return well at all... you can hold them damn near vertical extended out 6' and it won't pull back, makes using them doing any sort of structure building annoying as hell.
only positive is the numbers and marks are HUGE... so my aging father likes that part when he comes to the house for projects, other than that he hates everything about them as well.

skip at this price, if they come back and you need 3 other things in the 4 for 60$ sale, sure why not... but at 10$/per, i would've returned them in a heartbeat.
