This is a Nintendo Switch game. Rarely do they go that low, from what I've seen. I wouldn't hold out any sparks of hope for that.

Ubisoft games are an exception to this rule. Check the price chart for the first Mario vs Rabbids game. Price drop to $20 seems inevitable for those patient enough to wait a few months

I'm willing to meet ubisoft halfway at 24.99 on this. It's been sitting at $29.99 at Best Buy for roughly the last two months

This is not a first party (Nintendo) title. Its just licensed it's characters for the game (just like the first title in the series)

It will probably drop to 15 in the next couple months, not necessarily because of quality, just how Ubisoft titles go.

Didn't know there was a difference in game publishers prices. Thanks for the info!

Capcom and Ubisoft, among others, discount their games significantly. That's why it's hard to justify buying their games at launch. On one hand, I want to support developers, but on the other hand, who can pass up a sale son!
