For crying out loud, put this in your clickbait title: $5.95 Fee Applies to each eGift Card

Agree! The break-even point in which this "deal" doesn't lose money is $120, but the maximum value card you can buy is $75, so this is a money loser. This "deal" is only of value to those who would have bought the card anyway for a gift or other reason.
OP has been here since 2007. Should know better.

Kind of all of you should know it better: either discount or no fee. All the time.

I just purchased a $250 Virtual Visa GC for $243.45 ( $250 + $5.95 - $12.50)

For people looking for ways to spend $ to earn AmEx bonus, I use the Visa GC to purchase Costco Cash Card because Costco does not accept AmEx

5% of $1500 = $75

Not sure where you see $75 is the max value you can buy. I was able to add a $250 gift card and the discount of $12.5 shows up with the coupon. After considering the $5.95 fee you essentially save a $6.55 on a $250 gift card which is not much but still free money. I am still debating if I should buy it or not but if I did, I was planning on paying with my credit card that gives me 3.3% cashback for online purchases. So that is additional savings for a total of almost $15 in free money. Definitely not the greatest of the deals from Giftcards.com but free money is free money.

I typically use this to buy Costco gift card online as I spend several hundred dollars a month there.

Actually you are wrong. You can buy the $250 card, get $12.5 off, and pay one $5.95 fee. So you pay 243.50 for a single 250 card, plus any other rewards you may get from another card.

Capital one venture card showing 5% back through their link. Had no problem getting the 8% on previous deal with coupon code.

Agreed that this deal is not for everyone. But if you 1) have a way to spend the virtual visa cards, and 2) can earn a decent cash back or bonus by purchasing the virtual visa cards, this would be a good deal.

If you have Capital One credit card, you can earn 5% statement credit from giftcards.com. You must login to your Capital One bank/credit card account, click on 'Credits for Shopping' link at the bottom, search for giftcards.com. Then click on giftcards.com link, an offer details window will display. Click on 'Continue to Merchant' button, you will be taken to giftcards.com. You must click on 'Continue to Merchant' button in order to earn 5% statement credit. Of course, you must pay with your Capital One credit card.

Please notice this 5% statement credit offer is not the same as Capital One shopping - which does not require you to pay with Capital One credit card nor to have a Capital One credit card. And the cash back from Capital One shopping can be used to redeem for gift cards but not for Capital One credit card statement credit.

I did this deal with Capital One credit card statement credit offer twice in the past and I got my statement credit both times around 45 days after my purchase. And the statement credit is in addition to my regular 1.5% cash back on Capital One credit card.

BTW the $75 cap is for the total discount - meaning you can buy maximum 6 of $250 virtual visa cards.

$250 is the usual maximum at giftcards.com
Too bad they're no longer listed on airline miles portals.

This, it's a pretty decent deal if you have a Cap1 card and their merchant offer for Giftcards.com available. It's about 9% off including the activation fee after the 5% coupon and total 6.5% CB from Capital One.

EDIT: Assuming you get the max value $250 gift card of course.
