YMMV, but I found the Arctis Nova to be less comfortable than its predecessor (Arctis 7/7X/7P). Still a good deal. Worst case scenario, Amazon returns are easy.

I picked up the XBox version of this on the $250 slickdeal a while back. That one is the same as this one except it also supports XBox where this one doesn't (natively anyway). It is a great headset that I actually bought mainly to use for work... but then a Bose 700 UC slickdeal happened and I use that now... way better for working/conference calls than this, but if you want a headset that you can use both for gaming/discord as well as work... then this headset is great.

I find it opposite. The thing in the earcup don't bother me at all. I dont even feel that it's there. For the record i have smaller ears

I thought the sound quality was worse than the Arctis 7 pro. Also, the new model does not have optical (toslink).

Do you know if a regular non-Xbox USB audio input will work if you plug it into Xbox port on this thing?

I really want to upgrade my Arctis Pro Wireless because the mic cable is cracking. The lack of an optical input on the Nova makes me sad.

Supposedly it will not, because the xbox requires a special chip for audio interfaces that only one port on the xbox version of the nova has.

I figured as much, otherwise there wouldn't really be a need for 2 different models.

I really wish there were 3 USB inputs on this given the lack of optical Sadge.

I purchased this headset when it last appeared on Slickdeals. The sound is great for FPS games and the active noice cancellation feature is neat too (although the ANC pales in comparison to other non-gaming headsets with great ANC, such as the Bose QC line). I previously owned the Steel Series Arctis 7x as well. I don't know if the extra cost of this model is entirely worth it compared to the Arctis 7x in terms of sound quality (although this headset has extra features like ANC and bluetooth), but, I overall like this headset.

Also, some may find the headset is a bit too tight. It's certainly tighter than the Arctis 7x.

I was wondering if they let out as much noise out as the 7x or better at that? Cause everyone in the room could clearly hear everything with the 7x which is little bad for some night time gaming. Also how is the range comparing to 7x? Heard its actually shorter?!

Edit: grabbed a pair before they are back to $350. First time seeing the PS5 version for $100 off so figured ill just return them if it wont work out well for me.

I own this headset and found it necessary to buy different ear cushions for it. The stock ones a way to small and the a ANC device pokes me and other in the ear but once I switched them out this is one of my favorite headsets I have owned.
