Are we sure that the AliExpress watch even has a legit NH34? I'm a bit suspicious as street prices for a bare NH34 are like $80-90 so not sure how they are profitably selling a complete watch with that movement for a little over $100.

Going street price for this GMT model seems to be in the neighborhood of $475. So this is a decent deal. I'm personally looking at microbrands and AliExpress specials that use the new NH34 GMT movement found in this watch.

That way you get the same basic GMT functionality, but at a much more affordable price and/or better specs (like sapphire crystals and ceramic bezel inserts).

That AE version lost me at the fake helium escape valve. The Seiko one is a decent deal for what appears in most reviews to be one of the hottest new releases for 2022. But, this movement will soon be in a ton of microbrands for whomever doesn't want the Seiko.

I'm just here to post that if you're on the fence about this watch, just get it. I liked the blue one so much I purchased the orange one too.

IMO, they are gorgeous and have become my daily wears.

That's a legit concern. Be careful shopping at Aliexpress with no name brands. Only buy homage watch brands with some reputation (PD, AddiesDive, etc). It's not only genuine parts issue, also the no name brand could have very bad quality.

So I had been holding out for a Batgirl, but once the economy started taking a dive I realized I could just wait 8 - 12 mo and probably get closer to retail prices on one with the way things are going *if not it will at least be below the current ridiculous markup we've been seeing*

Found these seiko gmt's and while I'm in no way comparing them to a gmt rolex it scratched the itch enough for me to hold out while the market does its thing. I got the style i wanted without having to go down the "replica" rabbit hole as I'd much rather wear a seiko than a knockoff.

I guess what I'm trying to say is while the seiko GMT isn't perfect. It's a great looking watch for the price, I also didn't have anything on a jubilee atm which I was really looking for.

Excellent watch. I bought mine from a jewelry store last month and paid full price for this exact watch. I love it. Mine is +5 seconds a day, and a little less if I lay it in the right position when I'm not wearing it. Wish I would have waited and paid $100 less.
