    Do they make these with strap for arm or maybe longer leads so you can rest it in the floor. I recently started checking voltage in tight places and found it difficult to hold the multimeter and two probes at the same time and get the reading.

    Does this hold the reading automatically?

    As comparison, I'm still rocking my yellow pocket multimeter from RadioShack.

    I don't expect great accuracty from this, but the no contact voltage tester sounds useful enough for me to give it a shot at $10 and add it to the stack of multimeters around here....

    I bought this a while back. It's trippy. Sometimes I put on voltage, it measures ohms. I put on DC voltage, it tries to measure AC. I gave up and use my free HF meter which never trips like that.

    I think AstroAI is more reliable than Kaiweets LOL (was selling similar mm for $20). Have been using their tire inflator & pressure gauges.

    I think this decision requires a bit of judgment. Most people have a cheap multi-meter for home use. Cheap chineese multimeters are on the shelves of your big box store. if you buy that 40 dollar rando... it's not going to be great anywhere. If you're a professional... of course don't buy a cheap multimeter, but.... these things are useful and having one in your glove box or in a tool bag is handy and far safer than having nothing. Sure if you have hundreds to spend get a good one and then buy a few of these to throw in convenient places. they work well enough, to be honest they do a lot for the money and my biggest complain w/ cheap multi meters is that they are slow, take a while to read a value like over a second and it's kinda painful when you can't get the leads on a wire and you're waiting for the screen to refresh w/ a new value, but there is no reason the average person shouldn't buy a cheap-o-meter. Just know what it is, don't bet your life on it, but you can check a battery w/ it... just use some common sense.
