3 days after I ordered this thing, the price drops.
Amazon doesn't do price corrections even so soon after a purchase, so I'm returning the original one tomorrow at the same time as the replacement arrives.

This one has pretty solid reviews and I've been waiting for a sale on it for a while before I gave in. Sharing for others in my prior situation.

    Naw bro, it's not that serious. Keep the first and return the second. You already have the RMA and return label. The serial numbers only apply to tablets and other high price electronics.

    Paid full price for ours about 3-4 years ago. It's been pretty solid overall. My main complaint is that the optional headboard bracket isn't a great solution. Took a lot of fiddling to get a headboard solidly attached to the frame.

    There is also a minor concern about what you described is that I don't know if Amazon/Seller track the serial number of products.
    For example, Walmart doesn't appear to track serial numbers and I was able to return the replacement sound bar with no problems, after already having the original one set up and connected.
    On the other hand newegg.com tracks serial numbers for electronics like hard drives, and when those are sent back they treat a mismatch as swap scam attempt. Thankfully in my case it wasn't a scam attempt but a sincerely mistake due to the number of hard drives bought across multiple transactions, and the CS helped me reprocess the return correctly.
    but it was a learning experience.

    The Twin XL model was 16 dollars for a few weeks in January. I got two and bolted them together. They ship the same thing, call it a Full and then charge over 100 dollars for it.

    Nah it actually does. Serial numbers match up with the stuff. Zinus had to get the correct one in order to do warranty. I had an older model of this frame and it started to wear. I took a pick of the box and serial number they matched with the receipt. They were pretty fast about a replacement.

    No they didn't. They use the order number on the receipt to see if you are the original purchaser by looking it up in their seller dashboard.

    Zinus makes a good bedframe. Can definitely say that no matter what extracurriculars you're up to, these squeak less than the competition.

    My major problem was buying the 16" frame and trying to mount a headboard intended for the 14" on it; I ended up using plastic spacers to make the headboard bolts fit to the frame. Also recommend putting some neoprene/foam padding on the back of the headboard to keep it from nicking the wall.

    Yup. Just had a warranty replacement for a kid's electric foam soap dispenser. No serial number just order number/info. I have 2 Zinus metal box frames and a hybrid mattress. No serial numbers.. maybe if it were a Tempur-pedic 🤔

    Get the premium one without the thin rods on top. The thin rods break off at the welds.

    Have had this frame (king size) for several years now. It did the job and have had no problems with squeaks or broken wires like I've seen in some reviews. HOWEVER, the wires have sagged slightly, which I believe has been causing my mattress to sag just enough to cause back pain, so I plan to get something else eventually. We originally bought this for the portability because we had plans to move, which we did somewhat recently. All in all, it's been a solid frame for the price. I believe I got it around $85-90 and do not regret the purchase at all. Keep in mind, this frame does not have the slat spacing required for most mattress warranties. So if your mattress begins to sag and requires a claim, the manufacturer will deny it if/when they find out you used this frame.

    These squeak like crazy when… moving around in them quickly. If it's too high up no way to fix it.
