    I have a couple of 12000 BTU versions of this Midea AC and I think it's great. And when the heat wave hits this year and you're w/o an AC unit, you'll wish you bought one whatever the price. That being said, this isn't a deal worth posting ... is this even a sale price?? The unit does go on sale at Costco periodically (e.g. $400 last year).

    Have Toshiba version that I paid 300 for on woot. Works as intended. If you have 100+ degree heat waves it's nice to have supplemental cooling when you have an old central unit the doesn't keep up.

    If you are trying to heat sub 40s then it will either refuse to work due to the sensor or will work but defrost every 20-30 minutes. You can relocate the sensor to trick the device but it will defrost a lot.

    I've seen Midea increase their inverted AC units price by about $100 compared to last year. The 12,000 BTU U window units are $500.

    Picked one up. It was $699 for this same unit a month ago so a drop down to $629 was a no brainer, the same unit without heat is more currently.

    Your question doesn't make sense. The portable AC comes with a dual hose and a window kit with a dual port on it that gets mounted in your window. Your apartment has nothing to do with it. The only possible issue is whether you are able to mount the window kit in your apartment window or not. If you have an old window kit from an old AC with a single hose vent, throw it out and use the one that comes with this AC.
