Topology Diaphragm: The "Topology Diaphragm" or "Topology Driver" refers to the diaphragm with a special Nano particle coating applied to its surface. The distribution of the coating has distinct geometric patterns. By carefully controlling the diaphragm surface structure you can yield different results in acoustic performance to a degree previously unobtainable.
The Ideal Dynamic Driver: The Topology diaphragm structure used by HIFIMAN greatly reduces the uncontrolled diaphragm distortions, enabling the operational performance of dynamic IEM's to an approach to an ever superior, trend towards perfect wave control.
Smooth flowing contours ergonomically designed to fit you and your ears perfectly: With our unique Nanotech "Topology Driver", the technology inside an Aluminium Alloy exterior, with a visual purity that emulates its sonic clarity
Pure Audio Quality: In sound, quality and comfort, RE800 silver is beautifully appointed. With a rich, silky smooth acoustic sound signature, the RE800 Silver has all the detail and subtlety you would expect from HIFIMAN. Yet delivers all the exciting dynamics that takes you front and center.

They have good planar headphones, but their IEMs have always been very meh.
Given the fierce competition in IEMs currently, you'd be better off with one of the chi-fi models at any price point under $100. Moondrop in particular has made some excellent entry level models (Chu, Aria, etc).
At the $50-70 price point, though they're no longer available from adorama, get etymotic er2xr/se. If you're averse to the deep insertion or buying pre-owned, grab the Moondrop Arias instead.
