I was picking up a Sony X80K 43" TV a couple days ago at a Mexican warehouse where they sell customer returns. They had a bunch of C2's for $500 each, and it was very tempting. The picture quality on the C2 is amazing.

in Mexico?
No, I'm referring to a Mexican owned/operated business in Indianapolis. They have a warehouse full of new or open-box items. A lot of them are customer returns, but some might be old stock. They sell everything for about half price.
My 43" Sony X80K would have been $500 out the door at Best Buy, but I got it for $200, in an open box. I'm using it right now, and it seems to be perfect. I was tempted by the C2, but I didn't want to spend $500, and I was also concerned about burn-in, since I'm using it as a computer monitor.

Interesting. Can you return the TV if something does not work?

I don't think they have a return policy as such, since everything is cash and there's no receipt. But I feel like if you had just bought something, and then found out it had a huge problem, they'd probably work with you to at least exchange it. They had no shortage of inventory. But I can't say for sure. But hey, at half price you could just buy a second one and not really be too bad off.
But before I paid for the TV, he took it out of the box and hooked it up to power and turned it on. He gave me plenty of time to inspect it. I didn't see any problems so I gave him the cash and went happily on my way. I have a coworker who bought his 65" C1 there last year, and he has been very happy with it. And as a seller on facebook they have 4.5 stars, so I wasn't too worried.
They had about two dozen of these LG 86" monsters for $900 each (and no sales tax apparently, lol). I know it's not a high-end model, but it still looked very impressive, so I was very tempted, but I'm already happy with my TCL 6-series 75", and I think I've already hit the limit on TV-size with my wife.

How on earth did you get the 43" X80K for only $200????
For example the better X85K in 43" 'Open-Box Excellent - Certified' was BRIEFLY $422 and it has never been that low since.
So $200 seems impossible for the X80K - It on sale for $449 right now and $419 'Open-Box Excellent - Certified'; the $449 price for the ';New' condition one is a sale price (ends today)...

Wasn't too hard. I found the ad on facebook marketplace and I went and bought it lol.
He still had several, as well as a bunch of 42" LG C2's. Here's the ad for the Sony:
And as for the X85K being "better", it's probably a better TV, but for a large computer monitor the X80K is better since it has an IPS panel. The blacks won't be as dark on the X80K, but the text will be much sharper since the IPS panel uses an RGB subpixel arrangement, and the viewing angles will also be much better than a VA panel, which really becomes an issue when using a large display up close. He did have some x85K's too, for a little more, but I wasn't interested in those.
