Tempted to cancel my refurb order from Ecoflow, but Bluetti products and support seem a little more sketchy than Ecoflow.
My experience was the opposite. When I researched these products several months ago, I watched a review where EcoFlow support was doing sketchy things and the reviewer suggested Bluetti. We ended up buying the Bluetti AC200MAX. It's a good unit. Only thing I hate about it is the charging block fan runs 24/7, so it's not ideal to use as a UPS.

I think all of these battery generator manufacturers have their pros/cons. Just go with one you feel comfortable with and call it a day.
I had a Bluetti one time that worked fine, but the power brick got extremely hot. They had me return the whole unit which was fine, but I just wanted a new brick.
When it says: "LiFePO4 Battery with 3,500+ Life Cycles to 80%" Does that mean (a) it'll last 3,500+ cycles if you only charge it to 80% capacity (if so how long if you charge to 100%? ) or (b) after 3,500+ cycles of charging to 100% it will only provide 80% of it's original capacity
?

b. It means they should still hold at least 80% of their originally capacity after 3500 full cycles. If you are maintaining the battery between 5-95% charge it should be even better long term.

Thanks. Is there a way to easily tell what pct of original capacity it can hold?
Trying to learn, I want to use this as a sump back up battery in my basement. the math says I should have about 9-12 hours backup with this for my ~600watt sump
1) do these come with a 'passthrough' circuit, to allow sump to get power through it even when there is power?
2) does 3500 cycles have any relevance to my usage, considering it's almost always changed up by socket?

My intent is the same for usage. You'll likely get more than 9-12 hours backup, as the 600 watt sump pump likely doesn't run at that level 100% of the time. It cycles on/off and is only high for its peak. I did a test and my 1/2 hp sump pump ran for 48 hours on a 2000wh system with heavy enough water to generate one cycle every three minutes.
It sounds to me like you want a UPS. (As do I.) My thought is that these battery generators will be better for use as a UPS in another year or two. We'll see.
before anyone invests serious money into this brand, i urge people to browse the reddit sub for bluetti. the reviews on amazon and elsewhere are night and day difference than what's being discussed in the bluetti reddit sub (b/c of the review shills).
the products are rushed, some even half baked like the firmware. support is nearly impossible to reach, if you can reach them at all. supposedly it has gotten better but you can forget speaking to anyone. everything has to be done by email. all of the benefits of lithium phosphate are negated with the unreliability and QC issues of everything else....the products are just too finnicky.
maybe instead of Bluetti spending all that money paying influencers on youtube and instagram, they could spend the money and fix their issues

By all means I'm not saying you're wrong for being concerned over their support especially after some of the reddit posts I've read. That being said, I have one of their power banks that I've been beating up offroad/camping and haven't had any issues, but I did have to contact support and had zero issues getting ahold of them. They even refunded me after a price drop immediately after ordering.

What charging speed was it tested with for the 3500 charge cycle?

Right about the fan though, it was noisy.
