The bags do not "expire'" in August like you said. The date on the box/each of the bags is a BEST BUY date. That's what it says in plain English right on the packaging (I already received these on a previous order). A best buy date is NOT an expiration date. There is no expiration date on these, just a best buy date. My best buy date says "Best Buy 16 Aug 2023" on both the box all 6 came in as well as printed on each bag.
The bags are also vacuum sealed - not as extreme in tightness like bricks of coffee are, but vacuum sealed nevertheless.
The material they use for the bags is at least 3 times the thickness of the bags you usually find bagged coffee in. These bags are much thicker than even Starbucks own other varieties of coffee that they put in bags. I don't know why this is, but it is. It may be because this is a "limited edition" coffee as is written on the bag. The color of the bag is beautiful - almost an iridescent rich sea green color with a satin like feel and look to the bag material. The bag is a high quality bag that looks and feels premium and expensive.
So I think these will keep very well in storage is my point to all of this ..
