My Lectric XP has been a nightmare. Defective out of the box. Company 100% unwilling to help. I promise I am no Karen. I am like the nicest, easiest going person. I regret that purchase so much!
The people I drink with at the park have these and love them.
Good deal. I bought 2 of these over a year ago for 999 with the comfort package. The baskets are well built but the seat is not worth upgrade price. Much better off getting a seat of your choice from Amazon for $30.
Folding is clunky and heavy but it is nice when you want to take them to a certain location and toss in your suv trunk or hitch carrier. Folding hack is to stow them in the large Husky tote with wheels so they are easy to move and stash as needed. I'm 6'5 250lb and this has gone 29mph. The step thru model is better for taller people considering the pedals are lower.

Great price! These are terrific bikes with superb customer service. We've had our two Lectric 1.0 Step Thru ebikes now for 3 years. I purchased them for $899 and getting them so reasonably priced (compared to Trek) purchased all kinds of tools and spare parts to get me through the pandemic parts shortage. But I have never had so much as a flat tire and not a single issue with any of them. Have purchased 5 more Lectric Lites for the kids and grandkids.

I'm looking for an electric bike to ride around the neighborhood. I don't ride often so I'm thinking this will just collect dust. What's a recommended electric bike for casual riders?

Well you can get Buzz Centris (hub drive) or Cerana (mid drive) for $800 on sale. And if you're a first responder employees you can sign up to get 25% coupon making it $600 + tax.
Or their weaker model one sale for $400 - coupon = $300.
Buzz are not as good as Lectric in term of quality and service but for the price, it's hard to beat.

I've got my eye on their new XPedition cargo bike, hopefully they will put that on sale, or even better, make a bakfiets style bike.
(2.0 models, one is white, one is black)
