I would skip this one and get a Sovol SV06 for $60 more. I had nothing but headaches with this printer and I ended up dumping it.

What didn't you like about this printer?
I get it that Sovol exists, but they are completely different machines and I was kind of hoping this would solve my need for an enclosed printer. Is it really unusable?

Not really unusable but it is a dated machine. I disliked quite a few things. The PTFE tube that runs on the top cover whips around in a worrisome fashion. I had the ribbon cable from the tool head come undone during a print and that ended up causing the blob of death on the extruder. The glass bed was another issue for me and the bed probe didn't work well. It is also on older Marlin firmware and it never did well to save my Z offset. The print quality was good when it did work. I tried very hard with this print with little success so I wouldn't come back to it. Flexplate build surfaces are the way to go. Glass is a pain. Also, the hotend (most of it) is proprietary from Monoprice so you can't easily replace without buying from them. The nozzles are replaceable thankfully.
I had this machine, for 3 years and it ran pretty much 24/7. I had to replace the nozzle a couple of times over that time, but I just got another one because it is that good. The build plate is a little small compared to bed slingers, but it is worth it.

Thanks for the heads up! Definitely sounds like a real project/big headache printer so I decided to pass on it. I may just have to bite the bullet and go straight for the k1. I know that my sanity is worth it. A bad printer can suck all the life out of you, so whatever money you're saving now will be repaid 10-fold with your personal time, which you probably already have less of than money.
