People make such an issue about DRAM vs DRAM-less... i use whatever cheap ssd for my old laptops to speed up C:\ drive for Windows and never noticed major slow-downs for everyday use.

I was writing into the nvme. I normally do not write files out of nvme.

but you're right, 80% of these drives, and even the older sata ssd's, would be sufficient for the average user without them being able to tell the difference.
if you don't need the speed, it isn't for you
