I'd rather spend less money reusing half gallon or juice containers at home, then buy separate grow lights or skip the lights all together & set near windows. It's cheaper and more flexible expanding in the future than buying this overpriced gadget that's really just led lights & seeds that are the most valuable. Search online for Kratky hydroponics to get ideas for how to reuse many home items for growing indoors.

I bought an aero garden a few months ago. Pictures look great, actual plants don't. 2 of the 6 pods never grew, however aero sent me new ones. One still didn't grow. Grows nicely at first, but after picking, they don't really grow back. Much easier to plant herbs in pots indoors and larger items in 5 gallon plastic pails if you don't have much of a backyard. Don't waste your money is my opinion

I also bought one recently... the lights are soooo bright and distracting we couldn't use it in our small space.

Yeah this is the biggest problem for me too. We have had one of these for a couple months and it has been moved into a closet cause the lights are just too bright. The real problem is the spectrum of colors coming off it. None of the other lights in the house are close, so there always an unpleasant bright white/red/blue glow around it for 15 hours a day Our kitchen is partially visible from the living room so it quickly got hidden.

Try stapling tin foil on a few pieces of cardboard, then put them on the sides, this not only blocks the light from scattering, but it also keeps more of it reflected back onto the plants where it's needed.
