Qc was not there in 2009... the thermal sensors which control throttle/ overclocking were not working.. rma'd and similar problem right AFTER 90 days... surprise surprise...
Gotta wonder how many of the 1k reviewers test every feature
Yeah, but who do you trust more? Asus? ASROCK? GIgabyte? I think you can find some pretty compelling stories right now (looking at you Asus...) against just about any board maker.
Is that a terrible state for the industry to be in? Absolutely!!! Is MSI worse than any of the rest? doubtful.

My Asrock 570 taichi is a solid board. The only issues are the 3700x is aging and AM4 is getting obsolete

I've had a msi mobo for about 8 years now. But I'm not a overclocker.
The problem with comments like these is they don't provide any additional context or information and if this was an ASUS mobo someone else would say the same thing.
Between the "don't trust this brand" and "hold for a better price" comments it's a wonder anyone buys anything after coming on this site

I'll add to it with my 2 cents I guess. Keep in mind I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I just googled and read about it and I'm trying to summarize it here as best I can.
I bought this combo (or the i7 + MSI board combo that came a few weeks ago) and I immediately returned it after learning of the MSI UEFI/boot key data breach. I believe with those keys, hackers could upload BIOS updates/firmware updates for MSI products with valid signatures. MSI hasn't really commented on it, which put me off since nobody knows if MSI is taking it seriously. Who knows what MSI products are affected, all I know is I'll be avoiding any MSI product until they announce something regarding the leak.
It concerned me enough to return the board. I'm not a fan of many other brands either but I just figured it would give me more peace of mind going with another brand.
Hopefully that gives other people some information to help make their own decision.

That's not saying much. You returned it a few weeks ago. A week ago it's Gigabyte with millions of motherboards with backdoors. Nothing is secure. Though this deal looks very tempting to either go for it, or wait for the 4th…
