That being said, when I bought them, it was from a deal that Zagg had running where they were $10 each. I'm pretty sure that was a wildfire Slickdeal and went out of stock quickly for those that were able to grab them fast enough. Looking at the order confirmation email, there was also a $5 coupon code that was applied and I got two of them, brand new and shipped, for $15.97.
These have been solid performers and have yet to die on me like a couple of others in my battery pack armada. HOWEVER, I also owned the 10K mAh model in this same series and it stopped working within a year and the last time I tried to plug it in to power, it began emitting a smoking, burning smell and melted part of the plastic shell so I quickly pulled it back off the charger and noticed the battery was swelling so I had to safely recycle the unit. Mophie is a big name in portable battery packs but, just like any brand, can fall victim to poor quality control. Most every other product I've owned from them has been great but I wanted people to be aware of that potentially dangerous scenario that happened to me.
Price aside, these are good battery packs. Price considered, I do not believe that they are worth $30 each. The number of very highly reviewed battery packs out there has drastically increased since I made my purchase and I would consider another brand at a lower cost that has those high reviews before spending $30 on another one of these. I get great use out of mine but also paid $16 for them both.
Hopefully this actually helps someone make a decision. Best of luck

this was during the pokémon go hype, so if you wanted a power bank you had to work at the stores, (i worked at best buy at the time) or be willing to drop what you're doing when a stock notification came up. I had an 8kMaH one and it charged up, but would read 1 bar and maybe charge for 15 seconds.
I contacted Mophie support and they had me send them a video of the device not working, and then said they don't support my power bank anymore and gave me a $30 credit to use on their zagg/mophie store. id rate their customer service 5/5, esp since i think i got it originally on sale for less than $10. i waited for a sale on their online store and got a cable and another power bank with the credit they gave me.
If i find some good deals on Mophie (i think i found a 20k MaH one at Marshall's for 12.99) i'll definitely pick them up, but Mophies are definitely higher priced when it comes to power banks. I've been using ones i get from deals on amazon, and they've been holding up no problem over the last 3+ years. Id imagine if i hit up one of those companies they'd just tell me to kick rocks if i say their batteries stopped working on me, though.

FWIW We have the15000 and 20000 mAH versions and they both are awesome. Had them both for over 2 years now and still keep charge as they did when we first bought them.
