Great product and quite a slick deal. I grew up using hand-pumped filters (e.g., Katadyn). This new generation of squeeze-bag filters is lighter, cheaper, and easier to use. The Sawyer mini is pretty good and very light. my first choice would be the full-size Sawyer filter. I think the faster flow rate justifies the slightly greater weight but the mini is on special so there is that.

My thoughts exactly. I like using it in-line with a hydration bladder. Thanks for the feedback!

Very effective product but for the love of God, spend the couple extra bucks for the Sawyer Squeeze. It took one backpacking trip for me to realize I needed something a little faster requiring less effort.
