Why this deal looks better:
- Good return policy (30 days, seller pays shipping)
- Unlike on Swappa, you're getting an Excellent condition no matter which colors you select, and you can select from any color.
- This deal is $205 + free shipping. This watch on Swappa is minimum $216 if you want any condition better than "Fair".
- The cheapest Swappa equivalent is $257 before tax for the equivalent of the condition (eBay = Excellent, Swappa = Mint)
If this deal had been around two months ago, would I have spent the extra $30 on the eBay one? Absolutely. I would have gotten a different color, a watch without scratches, and I would have chosen eBay for the peace of mind. My Swappa watch arrived iCloud locked, and I had to have a back and forth with the seller to have them unlock it because they didn't know what they were doing.
Review of the watch itself:
- Battery life is as expected (Lasts maybe 1.5 days, so I charge every 24 hours)
- Works well with or without a cellular plan. I have Visible on my phone, so I added the $5/mo Apple Watch plan to associate this Series 7 with my phone number.
- More screen real estate than my 44mm Series 4. While it's only 1mm larger in physical size, the screen takes of more of the physical space on the 7 than the 4.
- Screen is always on, which is an upgrade from my Series 4 which was black/dark/off unless you held your wrist up to look at it.

Yes but u need to subscribe for that service (it's like 10$ extra a month). In my opinion it's a waste UNLESS you are into running or into some kind of a sport where it makes sense to leave the phone behind. Otherwise, u will always have your phone with you
For parents who want to buy for their kids, without giving them a phone
I wouldnt trust a kid to take care of $200 watch. The chance of them losing it or putting wear and tear on it from daily use. Although I grew up wearing gshocks, swatch watches and fossil watches. Swatch and fossil were decently expensive brands at one point which parents bought from macys
My sixth grader has been wearing his Apple Watch for over 2 years, if you get a good case for the random smacks and hits it works out. We're very happy with him having this vs giving him a phone.
