I think so. You get the nebula pad with the KE, a PEI build plate, and the same hot end as the K1 which can do up to 300°. Plus you have Klipper and with the updated firmware you can root and install mainsail/fluidd.
A1 mini is currently $250 (without the AMS) Smaller build volume though.
