Ahh the world is going to end and I need silver or gold.
99.99% of people in a collapse could care less about bartering in gold or silver. It certainly won't feed you, and in a collapse food and water are more important than anything else.
Horrible investment for return.
When is the last time or ever you needed to clip off a piece of your silver or gold coin in a collapse situation to pay for something. The answer is, never.
Invest in a freeze dryer, and have means to purify water. Without that, you are dead in days without water. 60 days you are dead without food.

Nah, we buy gold and silver cause fiat currencies end, always.

Year to date:
S&P500 +9.2%
Gold +12.6%
Silver +15.7%

Yes. And when the US government takes all currency digital, it makes it worthless for real use.

You are legit telling me that you have no food, and I do. And you need food and water. You think I want your gold or silver... No. I want seeds, weapons, communication technology, solar, candles, matches, etc
I could give a rats butt about silver or gold. Silver and gold are always attached to an organized form of government. Whether it be communism, monarchy capitalist or dictatorship.

Nah, I'll stick with real survival items. When the majority of people who don't didn't plan for food or water are dead in a few days, we who planned will simply walk into their house over their dead bodies and collect that gold and silver.

But you all do your thing.

Profit wise, there are so many very predictable cyclical stocks to easily make 10-50x the return in a couple day trades for an actual investment basis.
Why would you assume that? I have food, water storage, guns and ammo, and took two Sig rifle classes so I'd have a clue how to use one.

But the scenario where you need food and guns but not gold is a very low probability, while the scenario where the dollar goes to zero is 100% certain.

Prepare for what's likely, not just for what's fun to fantasize about.

How many times has a corrupted water supply in the US been an issue from chemical run off, contaminants, etc. In the past 10-15 years. How many times has a food shortage happened in the past 100 years, fuel, etc.
The west coast states have severe water shortages year after year. Only replenishing on heavy snow years.

How many people in the US go hungry daily.
I'd say my "fantasy" happens daily in the US, vs your eventual fiat collapse.

If that's all you got, gold bugs should feel pretty good.
